About TenantTools
Independent tools and practical guidance for Queensland renters
TenantTools is an independently operated publishing website for Queensland renters. It provides a break-lease calculator, plain-language Rules and Rights guides, and a small Practical Help library.
The purpose is to make a stressful problem easier to understand without suggesting that a general website can decide an individual dispute.
What TenantTools publishes
The calculator provides a general estimate using the Queensland reletting-cost framework and the dates and rent entered by the user. Calculator information is processed in the browser and is not intentionally submitted to TenantTools.
Rules and Rights currently covers selected topics involving ending or changing a tenancy, bonds, rent increases and repairs. Practical Help currently contains two moving-out resources. These libraries do not cover every Queensland tenancy issue.
How the research works
Legal and procedural claims are checked against primary Queensland sources wherever possible. These include current Queensland legislation, the Residential Tenancies Authority, QCAT and Queensland Government material. Substantive guides link to the official sources used so readers can verify the requirements themselves.
Practical articles may also compare public property-management checklists, service information or product material. TenantTools separates legal requirements from common industry practice and does not present an agency checklist, retailer claim or general tip as law.
Authorship and editorial responsibility
Until a named individual author is confirmed, guides are attributed to TenantTools as the publishing organisation. The article byline links to this page and identifies whether the work is a legal-process guide or a research-based practical guide. TenantTools is responsible for source selection, drafting, review, corrections and publication decisions.
This organisational attribution does not claim legal qualifications, property-management experience or first-hand professional expertise.
Review, updates and corrections
Substantive guides display a last-reviewed date. Material is checked when an article is updated or when a relevant Queensland rule, form or official process is known to have changed. A review date shows when the article was last checked; it is not a guarantee that every later change has already been captured.
If you find a factual error, broken source or unclear explanation, use the contact and corrections page. Include the page address, the statement in question and any supporting source. TenantTools will correct material errors and update the review information where appropriate.

TenantTools is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Queensland Government, the RTA, QCAT or Tenants Queensland.
